Onboard.com and the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) made Cruise Shipping Miami a whole lot happier this year. As the exclusive multimedia partner of the FCCA, Onboard.com and its award-winning production team got the entire industry dancing to Pharrell Williams’ “Happy” during Cruise Shipping Miami.

Food Network star Giada De Laurentiis talked to Vegas Player about opening her first-ever restaurant at The Cromwell on the Las Vegas Strip. “There is no place on earth that has more lights, camera, action than Vegas,” she said in the cover feature. Giada joked that she won’t be “reinventing the Italian wheel,” when she debuts her namesake restaurant, GIADA, this spring, but says it will be unique.

Our port shopping team onboard and ashore is gearing up for the upcoming Alaska season. The Shopping Experts will be hard at work tailoring their shopping program and enduring a grueling training conference with our regional marketing managers in the next few weeks. We’re looking forward to an exciting summer in Alaska!

Baselworld 2014

The non-stop travelers, Carrie Julier, Vice President of Cruise Revenue & Sales and Tasha Riekstins, Director of International Brand Marketing, spent the week at the Baselworld Watch and Jewelry Show in Basel, Switzerland. This show in particular is the world’s biggest and most important event for the watch and jewelry industry. The ladies scoped out the new Fendi Crazy Carat watches, which were the buzz of the show!

New CEO Spotlight!

Earlier this year, Beth Neumann joined Starboard Cruise Services as CEO and President. As Starboard’s sister company, Onboard Media also reports to Neumann. The new CEO has a strong passion for bringing joy to people’s lives and will impart her vision of transformative retail experiences to both companies.

 

Active in Haiti

The state-of-the-art sports complex at our school in Saint-Marc, Haiti is finally complete! The complex is equipped with an artificial turf soccer pitch built to international regulations, a six-lane 400-meter track, basketball court and volleyball court. There will be an official inauguration of the complex in late May with Haitian officials, former international soccer players and community members.
